fewgood-Yeah, I think we have to consider that. I wonder if being “old for his league” can be used dogmatically against a player. It’s not always age but how well they can play at a certain level considering their prior experience.

he is 24, but he didn’t come over to the US until he was 22. he is actually moving pretty fast. rookie ball to AA in 2 years.

AZ- I completely agree with you. When I heard about the trade I said I hope he does well and shoves it to DD.

On another note Kyle Sadlowski was released to make room in AA for the new guy.

The Cardinals end up signing Yorman Rodriguez with the added money from the Reyes deal. That would make everything worthwhile…

i’m a little surprised they didnt include someone else with reyes in an effort to get a better prospect or a major league player.

evidently the cards also got some cash. i hope they spend it on signing some latin american prospects or something of that nature.

Picklefork the rotation will still at 5 guys in Memphis, They will have Mortensen, Parisi, Walters, Garcia and Boggs when he gets sent back for Carp.

Perdomo’s numbers compare favorably to Gregerson and those who’ve been reading here know Gregerson has been having a solid season. Wouldn’t be surprised to see one of these two in Memphis soon.

I hope Reyes succeeds. Mainly because I find it hard to root against 20 year olds to succeed at what they are doing.

I hate to be this way but I have to admit that I’d like to see Reyes succeed (and be exceptional) if only to show that DD isn’t always right. Petty of me but that’s how I feel nonetheless.
