Craig says he has a ‘Sheffield’ bat waggle but his stance and approach is much more like Aramis Ramirez. In fact, I’d call it almost a carbon copy.

The Cards may look to trade either Craig or Freese this winter, to alleviate potential crowding.

Craig was put on the DL with back problems. He has missed the last 2 1/2 games. Sunday night in the 11 inning game they were going to use Mura to pitch hit because he was not available. Glad to see Wallace move up. Looking forward to seeing him for the last 7 home games starting Saturday.

Nick – why would we not move Craig to 2nd in the first place if his bat would be potent there versus keeping him at third where he profiles to a league average 3rd baseman?

I understand that Craig will probably play in the OF or Wallace will DH for the rest of SPF’s season. I was speaking more about the future. It is not a huge stretch to go from 3B to 2B. Craig seems to be athletic enough to make the transition. In my mind it would be worth a shot b/c if Craig can play there his bat becomes positionally more potent. I wish that erik could redo the interview today and get Craig’s thoughts on this move.

Or you use one of them in the OF since the OF at Springfield is kinda empty. Also you have a DH spot currently being filled with less stats then either Craig or Walrus. I think you keep both of them in AA to help you win the Playoffs.
