Because it’s the offseason and I’m having “one of those days”, I’m linking to one of the few things in life that makes me laugh on a consistent basis: XKCD.
I very much recommend checking it out when you have 3-4 hours of free time because it is hilarious. It’s more hilarious if 1) you work in an applied science or theoretical science, 2) you are familiar with a variety of coding languages and 3) before you do anything, you run a test simulation in your head with stick figures. If you meet all three of those criteria, you will laugh so hard you’ll cry.

Okay, I laughed my butt off. These are going to be spread around during seminar on thursday. The ln(2PI) sex comment got and that was only the second one I saw.
My friend does comics for the newspaper here on campus (and is a grad student in mechanical engineering also) so a lot of articles are about dorky engineering things, here’s one he did about me http://foma.comicgenesis.com/d/20080424.html , there’s a ton of dorky ones if you go back, the one about him trying to figure out why a light switch has on or off printed on it is hilarious, also a bunch of cardinals comics too.
Few more standouts :

Are you having some existential angst or something Liam?
Yes………Funny…………awkward silence
I don’t know what’s going on. I left two comments–nothing showed up.
Well that worked… One more time: all’s I was saying is that Demetri Martin does a pretty good job of working this sort of comedy into his stand-up act.
Maybe wordpress isn’t liking a tags all the sudden:

I had a conversation with someone at work today about Martin’s cat vs. cuteness graph.
Good times.
One of my co-advisors also recently gave a talk inspired by xkcd comic # 114 which contains language a little to salty to link from here.
The description for the talk is here, though:

XKCD is pretty popular in my cohort.
just when I thought I couldn’t love this place more…
