Baseball Today podcast from ESPN is wonderful during the season with daily updates. However, during the offseason there is only about a podcast a month.

Redbirds of a Feather does a pretty decent Cardinal one, though it's fairly short this time of year.

I was hoping to be able to download the UCB radio shows, but I've not been able to figure out how to do that.

Erik,
Take matters into your own hands ;)

I couldn't imagine a better podcast then a Cardinals Weekly Wrap Up. Look at how the big club and farm teams did throughout the week, analysis, etc. I know of several podcasts that use Skype conference calls then record and edit the call. I would think the UCB might be willing to set something like this up with a rotating basis for hosts. The biggest commitment would be from the technical side for editing the final podcast.

Meh, I'm not really a fantasy baseball guy. I've tried to be one...and failed miserably. But for a fantasy podcast, Ron Shandler's company has a pretty good one that I found to be mostly good.

Thanks for all the feedback, everyone. It looks like there just isn't a lot of great baseball podcasts out there, sadly.

Greg,

Worrell is basically a righty specialist, although I believe this year he actually fared better against lefties than he did righties. I think he'll pretty much be on the team next year unless Springer re-signs. He pretty much has Springer's role.

This has nothing to do with podcasts -- I'm not that technically sophisticated -- but can someone explain why Mark Worrell doesn't seem to be in the team's plans? Guy's got a minor-league career K/9 rate of 10.5. FIP last year at Memphis was 2.86. (And, of course, we know he can hit in the big leagues.) What am I missing?

I know MLB.com used to have quite a few. I found them on ITunes a few years ago and they were free. Fantasy 411 and Around the Minors were the 2 I listened to most often.

BP updates theirs more often than Baseball America, but it's sporadic. BP had a podcast or two daily during the playoffs, and are doing 1-3 a week right now, mostly talking about Goldstein's Top 11's. A lot of it is interviews with players or minor league coordinators.

BA has a weekly college podcast during college baseball season, as for them talking MLB and minors, they are a lot further and farther in between. They had one for the Futures Game, one talking international signings, a couple on on the draft, they just had one talking AL East top tens.
