Easy ... it's a numbers thing. not saying one or two of those you mentioned wouldn't be in the top 150, but if you consider (just an example) Boggs, most organizations have a comparable to him, so even if he was at 101, those comparables are going to be right after him, so that takes your next chance to around 131. for all 11 of those you mentioned to be in the top 175 would be quite difficult. maybe 3 of them (Todd, Anderson, Mortenson were the next 3 in their org Top 10).

Wade...I'm not so sure. BA rated us the 8th best system in baseball and it wasn't for our top level talent. Having three guys in the top 100 is not that great. I also don't think they rated us that high because of our 15 through 30 best prospects. Our system's advantage over others is the potential of the B level prospects that I mention above and I think that that would be reflected in the top 200 prospect list.

@ easy ... it's pretty easy to over value your team's prospects. i'm pretty sure other teams have some comparables to our prospects that you listed. so i wouldn't say that they would be in that next 100 ... especially since they said that there isn't that much difference between the 80 to 100 prospects they had listed.

I'd love to see the next hundred. I think that Anderson, Jones, Garcia, Todd, Kozma, Mortenson, Freese, Jay, Boggs, Craig, Motte and possibly Vasquez would be in or near the first half of that ranking.

I like the optimistic ranking for Rasmus, takes balls to rank a guy that many people now think sucks because he had one bad year out of four. I guess BA needs another year of above average play out of Jones to give him a higher ranking.

Where is the realistic position on this list next year for Brett Wallace? Top 20? Will he pull a Matt Laporta next year and vault to the top 10?

I'm puzzled as to why Bryan Anderson disappeared from this list. Aggressive promotion of a 21YO to AAA should be a good sign, not a bad one, and he didn't perform badly when he got there. How soon we forget...

Interesting to see Hicks ranked one above wallace. Usually BA takes the player that has proven more at the higher level. No complaints here though, kind of hard to. I still love the brett wallace pick.
