Catcher J. P. Arencibia ranked 43rd overall. I’d say his realistic upside is a .280 average, with 30 homers, 30 doubles, and 30 walks.

Cardinal Bryan Anderson was unranked. I’d guess his realistic upside is .310, with 10 homers, 25 doubles, and, say, 55 walks.

Over 500 AB seasons, that’d be Arencibia .280/.320/.520 and Anderson .310/.380/.420.

Those would be offensively dead equivalent seasons, as Anderson’s advantage in OBP would exactly balance J.P.’s advantage in power.

(Moreover, Anderson was distinctly better defensively in 2008.)

Miller is expected to be in Cleveland’s bullpen this year. He’s got the talent to be a legit No. 1 starter, but I think they realized that he has little chance of staying healthy in such a role.

BA is of the thinking that Miller will never stay healthy for a full season as a starter.

Interesting that neither Adam Reifer nor Jon Jay made the lists for their positions.

And Niko was mentioned among the second basemen, rather than shortstops.
