It was another intra-squad day for the minors. Thanks as always to John Vuch for disseminating this information to us during Spring Training. But, it will be fun to get to the games that count and see who the Cardinals organization has starting and getting key innings and at bats.
It’s a backwards intra-squad day as both junior teams beat their older counterparts.
Let’s get it on!

Hi All – by now we have all heard the news of the day in regards to Chris Perez being sent down to Memphis to work on some stuff.
Is it a case of Perez being caught between Motte’s excellent spring, his Spring Training injury and only one off day in the first half? Or is it the case of Perez (heaven forbid) being disliked by the Cards brass?

Brewers came in 10th, Reds came in 19th, Pirates 20th and the Cubs and Astros are near the bottom, at 28th and 29th respectively to be exact.

“And as I stood there, brooding on the old unknown world, I thought of Gatsby’s wonder when he first picked out the green light at the end of Daisy’s dock. He had come a long way to this blue lawn and his dream must have seemed so close that he could hardly fail to grasp it. He did not know that it was already behind him, somewhere back in that vast obscurity beyond the city, where the dark fields of the republic rolled on under the night.
Gatsby believed in the green light, the orgastic future that year by year recedes before us. It eluded us then, but that’s no matter– tomorrow we will run faster, stretch out our arms farther . . . . And one fine morning—
So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.”
Today we find ourselves one day closer to the start of the season, one day closer to evacuating Florida and scattering these little hatchlings across the Midwest (well, most of them)
