After going through all the e-mails and responding to each one individually, I’m pleased to announce the new staff that will be contributing at the site. While I don’t have all their admin accounts set up (weekend goal), I didn’t want to hold off on the names for much longer.

Your expectations for the blog should remain largely unchanged. DFRs should be accesible by a reasonable time in the morning (8am CDT) and an afternoon column should be posted each weekday as well (2pm CDT). The caliber of writing should be top notch and our goal is to continue to bring you closer to the Cardinals farm system on a daily basis. I’m hopeful to have a greater focus on the draft and college baseball this year as well. Personally, I’m looking forward to working with the new writers and reading their opinions.
Go Cardinals! (and Redbirds and Cardinals and Cardinals and Swing and Muckdogs and all the other mascots I can’t remember).

Thanks to all who are helping keep this site going. I really wanted to throw my hat in the ring for the DFR’s but I am in a situation much like erik…I have a 22 month old and a 6 month old. Anyway, thanks again. I look forward to your contributions.

Just an FYI. The QC team hasn’t been the Swing for a year or two now. They have gone back to their old name, the River Bandits. And congrats on keeping this site going!!!
I dislike the River Bandits as a name. . .prefer the Swing although that’s not great either. That was an intentional misnaming.
Gee, I’ve always liked the River Bandits. But hey, you’re keeping this site alive and you can call them whatever you like. One of the problems with the big team owning most of the farm clubs is that it limits creativity with team names. Can’t beat Muckdogs!
You all may already know this but quite a few years ago there was a low A team in Walla Walla Washington and they wanted to call themselves the Bing Bangs. Whatever powers that were nixed it because they thought it wasn’t taking the game seriously enough. How do the fun police get in charge of things?
to any administrators…….is there a way to host pictures on this site? springfield will come through here about 20 times and i’ll see memphis atleast that many as well. it wouldn’t a problem at all to get some action shots at games I attend.
I am not much of a writer but loving crunching numbers so if you guys have any ideas for stories shoot me a line. I don’t mind crunching some numbers if someone else writes up the story.
