Last year you could watch archived games for free.  This year not so much.  Is there really a significant market that justifies charging for this video?  I get that MLBAM is a business but, to me, all this does is make the minors less accessible to fans.  That’s not going to increase interest in these games or in the MLB.  This is (theoretically) one fewer baseball game I’ll attend this season.

But then again, the people who watch archived MiLB footage are likely hardcore enough to bite the bullet and buy a subscription.

PS – Memphis camera men, please please please switch to the centerfield angle when the pitcher delivers the pitch.

Memphis video editors, please please please add a score graphic and the MPH to the video you archive. (/pipe dream)

I had never noticed you could watch the archived games for free. I have bought the package the past two seasons, so it never really caught my attention. Its worth the $30 to watch the games if your AAA team has anyone worth watching though.

Leave it to baseball to make the game less accessible to fans.

it’s not a bad deal.. you can get it for $ 6.95 a month or $ 30.00 for the whole year..not bad for all the games you get..compare it to mlb.tv , $ 19.95 a month

if they’re going to charge you, they may as well do live games. maybe with stripped down broadcasts. you could find college students who would call the games for pennies or just to get something on the ‘ol resume. if i got a couple games with my mlb.tv package, i would definitely watch at least a handful of memphis games a month.
