Same reason I called Descalso by the first name of David for the first year -- every now and then I get a name stuck in my head and it's wrong. Thanks for catching that.

Mookie - I love seeing that opposite field power from Wallace too. Both of his opening day HR were to left field, too, I believe.

i just don't get it. the kid has hit everywhere he has played while often being young for the league, and last year he threw out 36% of basestealers. sure, he isn't molina with the glove, but this kid is at the very least a very solid back-up catcher that can hit.

I think the club has no belief in Anderson. They pretty much admitted that during the offseason. I'm positive I read a few times Mo saying that no other teams had much interest in him either. I watched him play in the QC when he was 19 and wasnt that impressed and my guess is right now he is viewd as the new Daric Barton.

I think Stavinoha put in some time as a catcher in college.

Re: LaRue -- in a peripheral note in a P-D article, one of writers noted that LaRue's knees are so bad he can only catch once a week. Hard to believe a roster spot goes to a guy who can only answer the bell once every seven games.

If anything happens to Yadi, they're going to have to make an immediate move to bring someone up from Memphis. If they don't think Anderson's ready, and if they see Pagnozzi as an automatic out, then maybe Stavi is the least-worst option. At least he has a chance to hit.

Went to the game in Springpatch again today....Herron was either striking them out or getting hit hard, no in between.

Linares was painful to watch. Just painful.

DJ just looks like he's locked in. Not sure how much he's gonna grow in Springfield, move em on up to Memphis.

Descalso's glove looked good again today, as did Wallaces.

Wallace, walk off for the second day in a row....this one oppo. I like to see that opposite field power. He hit the ball with more conviction today than I had previously seen. I think he's submitted to the fact that he's not going to see a lot of quality pitches. He seems to be waiting to get the count deep and wait for a mistake. His two K's today were both called strikes, and definitely borderline.
