I have to quit man-crushing on minor league relievers. Before Reifer, there was Kenny Maiques, who blew away Low A competion with a 94 MPH fastball and a sharp slider. Since then, he’s lost his control and now he’s smoking/snorting/shooting up who knows what.
Get better, Kenny.

Busy two days on the farm, Curt Smith to S’field after Andrew Brown goes to the dl. Plus, Swauger to PB and Mitchell to QC.
Maekawa and Hoffpauir were activated while Ostlund was placed on the dl. Boggs down, Ryan up, and the Cards signed Javier Brito and assigned him to Memphis.
Curt Smith has been on fire, but with Hamilton and Steve Hill, does Springfield reallyh need another 1B/DH?
Brendan must’ve impressed Tony with that 0-12 line in his rehab stint to be called up so quickly…
Maybe Brendan was called up so quickly becease of how much Kahil Greene has impressed Tony with his .217 avg. and not so sharp fielding. Face it the guy has hit around the .220’s his hole career. Other than the .250 one year.
