Descalso just keeps hitting at Springfield. Will there be a promotion soon and is he the best 2B prospect in the system? Also how does he project long-term? Being a 3rd round pick the Cards have to think there is some upside there.

Travis Mitchell is off to a nice start at Quad Cities – which, I confess, surprises me. In his previous seasons he’s become known as an excellent fielder but hasn’t hit much. Perhaps he’s turning the corner.
