I think Ludwick would be the only starter not brought up through our system should SS and 3B be filled as you suggest. point well made and I think this is a central issue to making sure we have enough money to resign Pujols.

Ok Sorry about one more reply...lol. But lets try to clear up the 255 or 260 figure. Let look at Mark Shorey to Brett Wallace to Colby Ramus.

Mark Shorey 6-0 230
Brett Wallace 6-2 205 ...LOL
Colby Rasmus 6-2 200

Who appears bigger when watching the games? I know Wallace is listed at 6-2 205 on the Memphis Roster but Colby is 6-2 200. There is aleast 55 pounds of muscle in Wallaces tree trunks. He was also listed at 255 on SF's roster earlier this year.

I was at the Springfield game last night and Eduardo Sanchez was very impressive. Batters were jumping away from the plate and the umpire would call it a strike. They were seriously confused. He would throw 99 on one pitch and 76 on the next. And both were called strikes or were swings and misses.

I know he is new in Springfield. Is he supposed to be this good or is this unexpected? I hadn't paid much attention to him before last night.

Does anyone realize that if Ryan/Greene sticks at SS next season and Wallace/Mather starts at 3rd our entire starting lineup could be drafted/developed through our farm system?

That sounds like a great achievement but it obviously only holds any value if we actually win.

What has been widely discussed and is of great importance is drafting/developing starting pitching. Come on Shelby!

I've seen Brett Wallace with my own eyes and can state for a fact that if he's at 260 now, then he's gained 45-50 pounds since ST.
