Living in Nashville, I never heard anything about Hillis before the draft. Certainly nothing like Sonny Gray last year. Of course Gray has 1st round talent, doesn't sound like Hillis does or he certainly would have been drafted before 49th round even though he wears makeup (or something like that).

Glad to see Stidham sign. With Descalso, and possibly Luna, as good 2B options, Stidham is another good guy to throw into the mix. The system appears to have some viable 2B prospects in their system now.

I watched the Memphis game last night and I thought Mortensen pitched pretty well. Jon Jay cost him one run with a really poor play in right field. Mortensen hit his spots. Many times Mortensen had hitters set up for a strikeout and then threw the wrong pitch. I'm not convinced Anderson's pitch selection was what it should have been. The last couple of times that I have watched Wellemeyer he has missed his spots big time. Many of his pitches have been up in the zone. He has been "lucky" that he didn't get beat up worse than he did.
