In related PTBNL news, I see that Luke Gregerson continues to pitch effectively for San Diego -- more so than the guys who have come up from Memphis to pitch in Busch. Laying aside the fact that Khalil Greene has fizzled (to put it mildly), I don't recall too many complaints here about Gregerson being the PTBNL in that deal, and I can imagine any number of comparable guys who could be in this one.

That said, a very interesting question is: how and why is he succeeding there, when theoretically more promising pitchers are NOT succeeding on promotion to St. Louis? Yes, I know that San Diego is a pitcher's park, but that can't explain all of the difference between Gregerson's results and those of Walters, Mort, Todd, etc.

I would say a bit more than poor_college_guy: Redbird has been annoying for as long as I remember him posting here. Seeing his/her name in the comments section has elicited groans from me for a while.

Good to hear it's not something to worry about anymore.

Redbird,
i think the problem was in your list of names. making some crap up about overhearing a conversation between dewiitt and mo is not necessary. if you want to spout off some names as speculation then that is fine i think, but trying to legitimize it by making up a story is unnecessary.

azruavatar Reply:

June 29th, 2009 at 1:07 pm

You’re comments are becoming increasingly ridiculous which gets you increasingly close to being censored.

My reply:
Azruatar? I'm not sure what the deal is here? None of my remarks are offensive, rude, or vulgar. They are merely speculative, what I read in the papers, my opinion, and simply stating the stats.

Please advise me of the rules for comments? It appears that most of the comments on here are speculative, opinion based, and stat line based?

If you want to censor me for stating my opinions I guess thats your? I'm not the expect that you are or on your level.

Stop sweating the PTBNL. Its worrying about nothing.

If its anymore than one of the glut of 1B/OF or the glut of college 4th/5th OF'ers or the glut of college middle relievers, I'll eat my hat.

Its not going to be a significant prospect. Shapiro is blowing wind.
