Thanks to BlogTalkRadio, any yahoo with a phone and a computer can have their own podcast/internet radio show. I’m a yahoo, I have said computer and said phone. So I’m gonna give this thing a shot. If I don’t make a complete idiot out of myself, we’ll do it again. It starts at 10 CST, guests will be Matt Baker of the Springfield News-Leader and Aaron Schafer of the Riverfront Times and VEB.

Not bad for a 1st time radio interview. Definitely do it again.

Not sure you needed 2 guests. Could’ve gone the whole 1/2 hr just talking to Matt and not feel like your short changing Aaron. Either one of those guys would’ve carried the time.

Always have a good set of questions/topics ready (which will probably just come natural from what you’re writing about). Work on the “ummmm” pauses and you’re there.

Bring in a co-host every once in awhile from the contributors. I’d like to hear Few, Uncle Buck and Pickle wax on pre and post draft.

Will this be available as a podcast? I click the iTunes link and nothing happens. Could be me.

Again: Nice job. Do it again.

2 guests — Didn’t know if I’d be able to go a whole 30 min with Matt and definitely didn’t want to short change either. Felt sort of bad things got cut off there at the end. Rookie mistake.

I did have a set of questions to ask, generally.

Will put it on iTunes once I figure out how, not sure how to do it quite yet but I heard it’s pretty simple.

    oh, and thnx.

Nice job, Erik. Hope to hear more of these soon.

I think it would be awesome if you could get some prospects to join you for interviews. Probably tough to do during the season, but it would be very cool nonetheless.

Very disheartening to hear that Pete Kozma, future utility-infielder, is higher rated by the scouts than Daryl Jones.

Jones’ knee has been bothering him the whole year. So long as this isn’t an ongoing health issue, I think that’s probably part of why scouts aren’t unimpressed because he can’t go full bore.

O and scouts drool over corner outfielders with power but that’s just not DJ’s game. Defense and OBP. Let’s hope they hold up.

Could one of the ADMINs put the radio player after the jump so it doesn’t start every time we come to the home page?

    Erik,

I definitely like what you did here.

    Definitely.

I have to say, after hearing Baron’s voice, his style of post totally fits how he sounds.

    Nice job. Thoroughly enjoyable.

I just found this site last week, I already waste…um…er…spend a lot of time reading national sites, so I wasn’t that interested in finding a good Cardinal only blog. I was wrong.

    Excellent site. Thanks.

Very good. I enjoyed this. I’m in Springfield and have been to some of the games recently that Matt was talking about.

I hope you do this again. Great to hear what people think about prospects.

If Jone’s knee is affecting his performance and progress, the reason that he is not on the DL resting it and getting treatment is…?
