There are 7 games on the schedule tonight, so let’s get right to the DFR!
Archive for August, 2009…a 2010 Cardinals Prospect Handbook? I’m considering doing a book. It would cover in-depth scouting reports of about 30-45 players, prospect rankings, essays, statistical analysis. Nothing massive, but thorough and hopefully very interesting. The goal would be to have it available to buy no later than early February. I’d probably have to take pre-orders. Just putting out some feelers. Also, if you have any subjects that would interest you for the book, let me know. I’m guessing it would run somewhere between $10-15 bucks. [polldaddy poll=1845600] Jaime Garcia made another rehab start, this time in Palm Beach and Luhnow and company were there to twitter the results, naturally. Here he was:
Garcia struck out 5 in 3 innings work. Onward and Upward! Lots of moves around the system today. Luhnow let us know there were going to be about 25 moves and we will do our best to track them all down. AZ had a bunch yesterday. Aaron Luna to Springfield Cardinal70 had a bunch more in the comments. 3B Matt Carpenter transferred from Quad Cities to Palm Beach That’s 17…who out there can discover the rest? Also, its Rick Ankiel bobble head day at Memphis tomorrow, so get there early! Let’s go to the DFR! First of all, in the mess that was the Matt Holliday trade and the havoc that played on my writing schedule — don’t laugh; I have a tenative schedule — the Quad Cities team got missed in the Club Check. I’m aware of it and it’s coming. Also, I’m working my way through my notes for my three day trip to Springfield. That’s a really beautiful ballpark if you’ve never been. Highly reccommended for a family weekend get away. Jeff Luhnow tweeted today that they’ll be shuffling rosters to make arrangements for the last month of the minor league season. Around 25 roster moves in the next 24-48 hours. Here’s what we’ve heard so far:
On to the links! Via John Marecek, Chase Daniel [update: scrap the 's'] says that Aaron Luna was promoted to AA Springfield. Holy crap, it’s August. |
