Surprise: 7-3, 1st
- Daniel Descalso was 0-for-5.
- Dary Jones was 3-for-5 with two doubles and a HR.
- Bryan Anderson was 1-for-5.
- Mike Parisi started the game allowing 3 ER on 3 hits and 1 walk while striking out 3.
- Gary Daley allowed 7 ER retiring just 1 batter.
- Scott Gorgon allowed 1 ER on 3 hits retiring 2 batters.

Wow Jones is 4 singles away from having a great line…and he’s one HR away from being Rob Deer…make that Sam Horn
Jones is showing his speed, taking walks, and hitting for power. That’s all encouraging stuff, his average will come around…it’s the one thing I’m not all that concerned about. The fact that his knee is apparently healthy is fantastic news.
The Surprise had a 14-3 lead. They must have thought it was safe to give Daley an inning.
Gary Daley is playing his way into a release prior to next season.

Really feel badly when people have to use certain adjectives about players.
The AZL is a fall showcase for milb players, showing off your skills and tools is very important and what you are supposed to do.
SE is right. The AZL league is about learning and trying to improve. Daley has a strong arm. He may never harness this gift, but there is no good reason to dump on him for trying.
