Reifer #7? I'm not sure you can justify that even on potential with what he's shown. Heck, Samuel is less hittable and is much younger - not that I'd rate him near that high either.

For my money I have to agree about Descalso. I'd like to see a little more production out of him to justify that ranking. As far a Kozma, well, he wouldn't be anywhere near my top 10 at this point. He's riding on the coattails of his draft position as far as I'm concerned and hasn't shown enough, whether it's production or just raw ability to justify a top 10 ranking - even with the recently depleted system. It's the same way I feel about Niko at this point. I'm guessing he'll be back at QC this next season and would hope to see something that piqued some interest in him early on. He just looked overmatched this last season.

i like BA's list better. i am kind of torn between garcia/miller for the number 1 spot, but i think i'd go with garcia. lower ceiling but higher likelihood of reaching the ceiling.

i am on the freese bandwagon.

the reason i am not quite on the descalso bandwagon is that there is basically only a half season of him mashing the ball and the rest of the stats are kind of mediocre. i know he has some good excuses like inconsistent playing time in memphis. i'd probably have a different opinion of him if i actually saw him play, but just arm chairing the rankings i'd put him in the bottom half of the top 10 until i see a little bit more out of him. there is a lot of 'what have you done for me lately' in prospect rankings and descalso hasnt a done a whole lot lately (memphis/AFL). i am not saying i dont like him as a prospect, just that aside from miller i am taking some guys with a little bit better track records for the top 5.

Everybody's lists will seem odd to other people because of the dearth of type A prospects this year. If that is BA's list I certainly favor it over fangraphs but mine will be much different. The folks who go for ceiling will like Miller at #1 and wonder why Freese and Craig are so high. I actually think Freese and Craig are in appropriate spots as they have a high likelihood of playing real roles with the big club over the next couple of years despite their limited ceilings. There have been a few thousand 19 year old pitching prospects with stuff considered similar to Miller's who have never seen a major league inning. Still don't understand why Descalso is not in anybody's top five.

Move Lance Lynn down to #4, everyone else up a spot, and I don't have a problem with that list if you don't include 2009 draftees ... not sure how you can exclude them though.
