Hope Hamilton gets hot and we can trade him and get something from him before its too late. The guy can hit but theres someone that can hit better ahead of him. Any chance Hamilton is mobile enough for RF?

After I finally got to see Henley hit on TV this Spring don't be surprised if Henley moves ahead of both Jay and Robinson in the cardinals plans. Short quick swing with direct path to the ball. He is more than likely already ahead of what is expected out of Robinson at this point. I heard they were working with Robinson at 2nd base this spring. Anyword on if he is still working at that?

Nice to see Anderson is the "starter" for Memphis at least so far. Pags has only 3 ABs so far, wonder how long that will last or if Pags is actually in StL already just in case they DL LaRue.

Joe Kelly and Shelby Miller in the Quad Cities rotation...thats a lot of "stuff" for two guys in the low minors...would be great if both got anywhere close to their ceilings

Me thinks this farm system is just a little better than what it has been given credit for

With Hamilton out, Howard is getting all the 1st base time. they need to let one of Shorey or Marti play there some to get their bats in the lineup. Howard can slide over to third to replace Gotay or Solano (man what a slump he is in) if you want to keep his bat in the lineup.

I attended 'birds/I-cubs in D Money tonight. I couldn't pay extra special attention as it was a date night for me in order to make up for me being gone a lot over the next few weeks. I missed first and last 1 1/2 innings. Anyway...

Parisi, only pitched 3 innings. No idea why they pulled him, he looked good. Dickson looked good, kept guys off balance. Got out of jams with groundballs, actually struck out 5... that is a result of how weak the I-Cubs lineup is IMO. Either way, he's very average but I liked watching him.

Rich "mr. bundles" Rundles (never heard of him) got Memphis outta trouble with K and GIDP. Then Kinney proceeded to come in and allow a hit, then Tyler Greene couldn't make the play on a bunt. Then Micah Hoffpauir crushed a ball to center, narrowly missing a homerun which put the Cubs up for good. Apparently after I left Scherer got worked.

As for our Memphis line-up. Not much pop but good bats overall. Jon Jay hit every ball hard except one. His last AB he took an outside fastball the other way with a sharp liner towards 3B in which he was robbed of extra bases by the elusive Bobby Scales (oh man the song he came up to bat to was "don't stop til you get enough" by MJ... nice tribute?). Descalso hit a triple down RF line, his speed surprised me. B Anderson also hit balls hard, has that certain sound that tells you he can hit (btw he is really short). Tyler Greene was embarassed by I-Cub LH reliever Gaub who was definitely bringing it, ML arm I bet.

In summation, Jon Jay was the only guy I was really impressed with. Only guys who looked to have power were Henley and that Howard fella who looked like dog tonight. This team will not win the PCL, as if I needed to tell anyone.
