That was better than Gary Matthew’s catch. Wow.

Wow is all I can say……

Too bad Dejesus is struggling so bad at the plate this year. His OBP has always been impressive and coupled with his defense I thought he might have a chance to see time in the majors someday (possible 5th OF type). Unless he gets his LD rate back up though it seems unlikely now (was probably a long shot anyway).

Dejesus made a very difficult catch look easy for him.

I saw the play in person, I also saw some other plays he made during my time in Springfield. He is amazing, (the play was on ESPN). Now that he is in the game everyday he will find his rythm, he will be around for a looooong time, he is a fan favorite and that’s what they look for in an organizational player.

Amazing ambidexterity – over the wall catch with one hand, sneaky crotch scratch with the other. And all in the same clip!

  8. cariocacardinal says:

I think a catch like that earns a player 3 criticism free crotch scratches.

    “You don’t f*** wit De-Jesus!”
