Apologies for the late DFR, I was laid up sick all night last night. And so hopefully this with be comprehensible. If not, my apologies. Let’s do this. With the demotion of Tyler Greene making room for Felipe Lopez on the St. Louis roster, Tyler Henley hit the DL in Memphis. Henley’s injury seems either self-evident in the numbers he’s posted for 2010 or opportune for a player who is struggling mightily at the plate. In Minors Monday over in Derrick Goold’s Bird Land at the Post-Dispatch, Goold interviews Quad Cities head coach Johnny Rodriquez (not THAT J.Rod as far I can tell). Goold gets scouting reports on a bunch of QC players. It’s a very interesting read on Ryan Jackson, Shelby Miller, Jason Stidham, Robert Stock, Joe Kelly, Eric Fornataro, Jorge Rondon, Scott Schneider, D’Marcus Ingram and Michael Swinson. Check it out, it is a great read for a lot of these kids we will be covering a lot in the future. Let’s DFR this thing. Today, the Cardinals kick off a two-game series at home against the Washington Nationals. I asked Brian Oliver, who follows the minor league teams at Nationals Farm Authority, five questions about the farm system. His answers follow the jump. Normally by this time of year, I’m knee-deep in draft hype. I regret to say I am woefully behind this year, and I really have no excuse with all the great draft coverage out there. To help me catch up, I thought I could look at a couple of recent mock drafts and see what the prognosticators are prognosticating. |
