Do we really KNOW Luna can’t stick in the infield? From what I can track down he’s only gotten 30 appearances (3 this year) at 2B in the minors. Admittedly, I’m a fan (with the seeming demise of Tyler Henley, he’s the only intriguing fellow Owl in the system…) but it doesn’t seem like the organization has put much into seeing if he can fit. I could be worng, I don’t have perfect information on this and maybe the organization has enough info from practice/spring training/etc. to figure this out, but he could turn into a real asset if they could make this work.

The lack of power from Jackson was expected, wasn’t it? That’s not to say that I disagree with you, but coming in, it was known that he lacked pop.

On a side note, how can one not like the last name “Zawacki”.

Not only did Schneider get the start, he pitched nearly 6 innings, while his former tandem partner only pitched 3.2 innings in essentially a reliever game (Hooker pitched the most innings out of the four pitching). Granted, Fornataro got hammered in his 1.1 inning appearance, but it looks like QC is stretching out Schneider’s workload and not Hooker’s. That seems odd to me, since I figure that both are still starter prospects, long shots they may be.

Wonder what the QC pitching staff is going to look like in a week. They are restructuring it now. Miller missed a start. Schneider got a start over Hooker and now Hooker worked piggyback with Fortunato who wasn’t a tandem starter earlier in the year. You hvae to think a few of the early signing drafties will play with QC this year.
