I’m moving this weekend and it turns out robots can accumulate a lot of junk & trash in two years time. Subsequently, the DFRs may or may not be on normal schedule depending on the ease of the move. Please bear with me.

Memphis 7, Nashville 6

  • Jon Jay was 2-for-5 with a double.
  • Matt Pagnozzi was 2-for-3 with a walk.
  • PJ Walters had a mixed outing throwing 7 innings and striking out 7 but getting hit hard for 10 hits and 6 runs (5 earned).
  • Eduardo Sanchez pitched a scoreless frame and struck out 2. Call him up! He’s ready!

Springfield 5, Tulsa 6

  • Daryl Jones was 1-for-5 but the one hit was a HR.
  • Curt Smith was 3-for-5 with a double.
  • Steven Hill was 2-for-5 with a HR.
  • Adron Chambers was 2-for-4.
  • Ryan Kulik allowed 12 hits in 5 innings for 6 runs (4 earned). He struck out 3 and walked 1.

Palm Beach 10, St. Lucie 5

  • Chris Swauger was 2-for-6 with a double.
  • Charles Cutler was 3-for-5 with a double and walk.

  • Ted Obregon was 2-for-4 with a walk.
  • Brett Zawacki went 6.2 innings allowing 8 hits for 5 runs (4 earned). He walked 2.  Zawacki’s having a rough season striking out just 16 in 40 innings and walking 13.  He’s allowed more than a hit an inning and isn’t showing the groundball tendencies you’d expect from his sinker.

  • Jason Stidham was 2-for-5.
  • Robert Stock was 2-for-4.
  • Eric Fornataro tossed 6 innings allowing 7 hits and 1 walk for 3 ER. He struck out 3.  With 10 groundouts and 2 air outs, Fornataro was largely in control throughout the outing.

  1. Tackle Box says:

If QC could just beat Kane County this year, they’d run away with the division.

  2. Andrew says:

Looks like that QC is going away from the tandem rotation for the second half. I like this build stamina in the arms and see what they can do as a real starter.

  3. bookerd says:

Memphis was down 6-2, I believe, and rallied to win. Allen Craig had the game winning hit. Edmondson and Stanley are off to good starts also.
