@Andrew: There was no indication as of yet that Kopp would be sent down, it was just a paperwork move to get Shorey back in the rotation then Hill was released, allowing room for Kopp to stay. But that may change after the TL break. As far as I know Kopp is still with the team and pitching in tomorrows game in ABQ. Kulick and Fick are able to be used as either starter or reliever, depending on how things go, we might see them used in different ways. Memphis still has a double header to play, and Ott is still up, so who knows what they have planned at this point. Hamilton will also be returning soon to Memphis. Players being moved up right now on all teams probably more for need than if they are actually ready.

@Dan in Haiti: I'd bet money you wont see Freeman this year. He probably wont even throw off a mound until after the season is over. I'd say he's even doubtful to start next season on an active roster.

@pitch and hit: what will they do with the rotation? with kulik and fick and kopp? diapoules struggled but mcgregor has pitcher well.

What happened with Kopp is they were going to send him down but we released Rich Hill so they decided to keep Kopp in Memphis.

@Andrew: I could be wrong but I thought Kopp had already been sent back to AA. I agree, though - I think Kopp has a good chance to make it the big leagues, he just has to keep developing

I for one hope Kopp sticks in Memphis. He’s very talented and we should see what he can do in AAA

Brown to be returning soon, I also think that Springfield’s linup and starting rotation will most likely return to what it was before the break as well.
