The Holliday picture is pretty hilarious
“Wait guys! I want to join in the hugfest… Pretty please!”
Whoever is in the Cardinals uni on the left of Baker looks exactly like Brad Lidge……I had to double take to see it wasnt him.
Off topic, but Hawgs Illustrated reporting that Cox is expected to sign with the Cardinals. Don’t have a subscription for that site (I’m not an Arkansas fan in the slightest), so that’s all the info I can provide.
All Matt Carpenter does is hit – it seems like literally every day I come to this site and he has something in the box score, it’s pretty impressive. Also, I really liked Justin Bergman when I saw Batavia and he has gone on a tear lately – I don’t think he has any power at all but I am going to follow him with interest
I’ve been watching Bergman also. He hit 15 HR has a Jr. in college but tailed off his senior year.
I am surprised that Carpenter has not been called up to Memphis. Of course, I cannot believe that Craig isn’t getting any 3B time in The Show. If that don’t change soon, me and Tony LaRussa are going to have a problem.
MC Hammer!
Molina in the second picture: “Oh, crap. What did I do?”
First picture:
Jay: “…and Matt still doesn’t know!”
Pujols and Rasmus: “Ha!”
Holliday: “Wha? Know what? Guys?”
According to Baseball America, Cards signed Tyrell jenkins for $1.3 million. Cha-Ching.
You can tell Rolen is trying to keep the peace in that pic
Yadi is going “my god Carp, this was over and now you want to start this back up?”
And Suppan is trying to find out if Carp is ticklish.
Good to see Boone Whiting tearing up the Appy league. He’s almost 21 but it’s hard to deny 53 Ks over 44 innings and just four walks.
According to Brian Walton, Tyler Green to Palm Beach for rehab stint.
Per QC manager, They will skip Joe Kelly’s next start. Said he is not right and want to make sure he is strong for the postseason
pic 1- Pujols- “Hey former Colorado farmhand, this is an A, A, B Cardinals prospect celebration. C your way out of it.”
Jay- “BURN!”
Hearing that makes me happy. I think Kelly is probably starting to wear down a bit; after all, he only closed in college and not even that his whole collegiate career. He’s already well over his previous innings high, I believe, and is probably starting to hit that wall a little. Getting him some extra rest is a very good idea.
Whoops, meant to reply to the blurb about Kelly being skipped.
Reifer has been outstanding this year; he’s only given up more than one run in an outing once this season. Between he and Sanchez the Cards should have a very strong next wave of power-armed relievers.
