Pham is out 2-4 weeks with a broken bone. He has been put on the DL. No one has been named yet as replacement.

Oh and Cerranto was sporting a nifty cast on his right wrist, definitely a little injured. Tyrell Jenkins was hanging out, but wouldn’t pitch upon request

I posted some more videos from Johnson city, including last nights starter Trevor Rosenthal. I was surprised by his stuff, with a low to mid 90s fastball, a high 80s two seem with good movement and a slider which was, well, there. A nice pickup by the cards in the late rounds.

Now we have to re-evaluate whether Az brought Pham luck or not. Pham reportedly out 2 weeks with wrist injury.

I saw Rosario play Saturday and I thougth he looked good, he hit a home run in extra innings to give the Bandits the lead.

Mather can be claimed by a team when waived and only have to be put on the 40 man roster and won’t be required to make the 25 man roster. That of course is complicated by the fact that he will be out of options. Of course the option issue is a problem for us too if we want him around next year. The whole situation is complicated further by the fact that if we remove him from the 40 man roster he can become a 6 year minor league FA I believe.

Raniel Rosario has an OPS near .900 splitting time between Batavia and QC. Just 21. Luhnow has always touted him as a toolsy player.
