Rather surprisingly, Raz is the oldest of these five, and may possibly be closer already to his ceiling than they are. I think Upton, in particular, has a chance to be better by the time he’s in his prime, if he develops well — which can’t be taken for granted. In any event, I’m perfectly content to have Raz. Here’s hoping he and TLR can resist Passan’s attempt to make a True Story out of them.

Yeah, he obviously has some power, but from what I saw last year (haven’t seen him live this year), he had a bit of a tendency to slap the ball instead of driving it. Maybe it’s more of a timing or balance issue. I remember reading others’ comments who said he had a similar approach/problem this season. Can anyone who has seen him recently please evaluate his current swing and discuss the progression of his swing?

Josh Kinney has pitched in 5 consective games for Memphis and I agree he should be in St.Louis but won’t and will probably be a minor league free agent.

If QC wins tonight, hopefully they can add a couple of the Batavia guys. Michael Swinson was hurt in the first game and Cody Stanley, up from Johnson City, hurt his shoulder warming up. So they are down 2 guys and have to play Ross Smith and his .190 avg in CF now.

do not where to post this. 2005 draft year of HS OF. 1 Justin Upton, 10 Cameron Maybin, 11 Andrew McCutchen, 12 Jay Bruce, 28 Colby Rasmus I think Colby is the best of the group. McCutchen is close second.

As disappointed as many have been in Kozma this year, he’s actually had some bright spots.

I believe he led TL shortstops in home runs and slugging percentage. In the top 10 of all TL hitters in walks. Top 15 in hits. Top 15 in HR. #3 shortstop in terms of OPS.

Personally, I’m not concerned with the 34 errors. Last year in Springfield he had 25 but was a +8 fielder by TotalZone.
