The St. Louis Post-Dispatch’s Derrick Goold is doing great work for all of us “at home” types and getting video of the Cardinal prospects in the “B” games.  Today, he was able to catch video of Maikel Cleto versus Tommy Pham, Ryan Jackson, Zack Cox, Alex Castellanos and Oscar Taveras.  Check out his full article at the P-D about Cleto as well.  These looks at the never talked about “B” games are great to get an extended look at the feature pitcher, but also to see these 5 hitters as well.  After the jump, I have embedded the videos.

Derrick does great work on the Cards beat. He goes the extra mile, does a good job of removing opinion from his reporting, and is knowledgeable. He’s the anti-Strauss.

On top of that he treats people with respect on line.

      • zuke354 says:

        And Strauss doesn’t?

        • cariocacardinal says:

nope – not in mt opinion and I know that feeling is shared by some others,

He does come off as that way some times, but have you seen the questions he is commenting on?

Tell me if many of those people actually deserve respect.

            • cariocacardinal says:

Yes, they do deserve respect. Besides, who is choosing which questions to answer? I have also exchanged tweets with him – and I know my questions weren’t stupid :)

Some dude hiding behind a user name throws out of-base insults about player, coach, media personality or front office staff does not need to be treated with respect.

Who’s answering the questions…Strauss. The guy whose chat it is. And it must be working if people are reading it.

If people want to be treated with respect, they should show respect.

Look at the answers in his last chat that people would find disrespectful.

A guy saying the cards should institute a Pujols/Hamilton platoon.

And even though its not popular, he makes a good point on how Pujols is using the media for negotiation purposes (which I understand and am fine with).

Some horrible complaint on the quality of Joe’s work, which I actually like the response.

As far as twitter, I can’t really comment on that as I don’t use twitter.

what the hell… where did my videos go?

    WordPress!!!!!

    • Jeff says:

ah ha. Now it is fixed. I’m not sure what is up with youtube’s “new” embed code, but it doesn’t work.

  3. Lou Schuler says:

Looks like he chewed up Cox and Taveras.

  4. Andrew says:

Your right Cox and Taveras looked overmatched….Cleto has a nice little wrinkle there, not sure if its a curve or slider
