By the time you read this, it will be Opening Day. For those of you out there that actually get to watch it, enjoy it twice as much for those of us stuck at work without access to a TV.

In the Memphis game, Kyle Lohse started. I left him out of the DFR for two reasons: First, this should be about the guys who aren’t breaking camp with the big league club and second, it was a depressing stat line.

On to the DFR!

Memphis 6, Buffalo 6

Springfield 1, Binghamton 3

Palm Beach 3, St. Lucie 7

Quad Cities 4, Savannah 4

Thanks again to the Vuch crew.

Is Stock playing palm beach or quad cities?

Jonathan Rodriguez looks interesting. Not intrigued by his playing first base so much but wondering if there is another position he can do well at… He looks like he can handle the bat and I figure the HR’s will come as he grows into that frame.

Is Oscar Tavares going to start in QC, or is he starting lower?

Matt Adams seems to show up on here every single day!! If it ends up seeming like AP is leaving, at least we have something to be excited about…. (my glass must be half full today since it’s opening day)

Matt is having a good ST. He has played pulled up to play in 4 major ST games and has batted .500 (2 for 4). Mostly pinch hitting, but got some opportunities to play 1st in the last 2 games. He is slated to start at Springfield, which means that he will most likely skip A+ level. All good signs of his potential. The Cards are surely testing him to see what they got going forward……AP replacement or trade bait if AP stays….not sure which.
