Pitchers break. We all get that. Pitchers flame out at a very high rate. We all get that as well.

That said, with Waino/Garcia already established in the majors (is it fair to say Garcia is "established" yet?), and Miller/Rosenthal/Jenkins/Martinez developing nicely, I'd say the potential for one or two more above average starters is there.

Throw in Lynn/Dickson for decent depth at the upper levels, and Cleto/Swagerty/Gast/Blair for arms with a chance to develop into starters, or more likely fill out the bullpen with Boggs and Sanchez, and the Cards finally have an "arms race" building of their own.

The bad thing is this upcoming draft is an extremely pitching heavy draft, and the Cards need position players.

Dickson's K totals are encouraging. Maybe like Lynn he is starting to throw more 4 seem fastballs.

Greenwood is starting to intrigue me. He continues to keep his GB rate above 60% and (its early) seems to be K'ing a few more this year.

Dont' know much about him but Justin Wright has caught my attention with 20K's and only giving up 6 hits in his first 13.1 innings. Smallish lefty (5-9) but anything you can get from a 47th round pick is gravy.

Waino, S. Miller and Garcia will be formidable; hopefully 2 of the others pan out. The "big 3" by themselves would be big-time and available at a relatively low cost (although Waino will get paid).
