is it customary for palm beach to play morning games?
Who replaces david Freese?
Craig will be activated. I assume this means that Hamilton stays on the team for the time being.
IT seems they have been hesitant to use Craig at 3rd.
I’m guessing it’s still descalso/punto
Also ad into the fact Berkman is hitting lefties with athority, so he has been playing alot.
So you have Hamilton and Craig with a similar role.
Why is Taveras out of the Quad Cities lineup today. I heard he got taken out yesterday. He is not hurt is he?
I was wondering the same thing.
He was taken out of yesterday’s game early. Andrew said it was because of the cold weather but it looks like there’s more to it. Ouch!
QC really misses Taveras when he’s not there. We’ve missed great opportunities in the 7th and 8th inning to score some runs.
Zach Russell may be playing himself of the rotation.
That’s supposed to read “off”.
Russell came back and pitched well the rest of the game after a rough 1st inning.
As far as figuring out who should get innings and who shouldn’t, sample size is still small – especially with the 6 man rotation. Glad it’s not my decision……Someone is going to have to move for Martinez. I wish I knew if the club really thinks Whiting is a reliever or if he is just relieving because there aren’t any spots available. I’m wondering if some guys will move down to Batavia when that season starts simply to get them more innings, and the remaining guys at QC more innings as well. In other words going down won’t necessarily be a “demotion” as some might think it would be?
I think it would be something of a demotion for Russell. But, it still might be the right thing to do. I don’t see how Whiting is going to get a chance. About the time Russell might go Martinez would likely be showing up.
You don’t suppose Parejo was swinging for the fences today, do ya? 0-5 with 4 K’s after 2 dingers yesterday. Ho boy.
I’m betting Swaugerty moves up when Martinez arrives.
Miller had a nice rebound effort this morning. Looks like he’s back to his old self
