Castellanos is 25, hasn’t hit anywhere near this well before, and isn’t as defensively valuable as Pham. So – you’re wrong.

Exactly the same points can be made re: Brown versus Chambers, except Brown is even older (27(!) I believe), a TERRIBLE defender with no apparent position, and Chambers is only in his first go-around at AAA.

Brown isn’t even a prospect, really – he’s a left-handed Nick Stavinoha.

I know where it was played and Its 200 miles from QC’s season ticket holders. Attempting to somehow compare Palm Beach on a Friday in its own park to a team playing 200 miles from home on a Thursday is silly. Just because the city loves the Cardinals don’t magically make some other team they don’t know more marketable, hell you could have the Sox and Yanks at Busch and its going to do less than the Cardinals.

I would put Castellanos ahead of Pham at this point. Never been a fan of the “tools” argument. Having tools and knowing how to use the ones you have are very different.

As for Memphis..Chambers has seemed to struggl at Memphis so far this year as well as Rapoport. I would definitely put those two behind Brown and Luna at this point as well. DJ must still be hurt as he hasn’t played in forever it seems.

Your right, they have had a few 10:30 Tuesday morning games. Maybe people just don’t come out to baseball games in Florida and they need the field for something else later in the night?

Correct me if i’m wrong, but i’ve never thought of the FSL as a “fans” league like other minor leagues. Seems like they play an awful lot of weekday early day games too.

I don’t know if this is Vuch-style. Maybe cardinals style. Luhnow was criticized for being too aggressive with prospects. Remember Kozma to AA. And when Vuch got his job in the winter he talked about being more patient with prospects.
