Wasn’t this Rosenthal’s first game back from injury? Or am I just making that up?

So… Shelby Miller has been promoted to AA.. just saying

Anyone know who the probable starter is for Memphis on Monday?

Rosenthal was pretty dominant his first start after injury. I wonder if he was nervous in this start. I’ve got a feeling with Shelby being promoted to Springfield, Trevor may soon be on his way to Palm Beach.

I was at the game. Rosenthal’s line wasn’t great. He gave up only 2 hits. The 3rd hit was clearly an error chalked up as a hit for some home cooking. Defense did not play well behind him and it is my opinion that when he got frustrated, he lost his control. For his part Rosenthal said he just had a bad day and denied he was frustrated with anything.

Great news though. He has indeed developed a curve and it is FILTHY. Will be interested to hear what others think when they see it. Stock was catching and seemed to have some difficulty with it. It will likely be a nice “out” pitch. Needs to be called on 2 strike counts. He threw 12 and 7 were strikes – only one swinging. Hitters didn’t want anything to do with it.

Also of note – his previous dominant start was caught by Stanley. In fact, Rosenthal’s 2 best games were both caught by Stanley. I’m one of those that believes a good jockey gets the good horse to the finish line at the front of the pack. Maybe it’s just that they communicate better (I’ve been told Castillo speaks no English). Stock did throw 2 runners out, but he also allowed 2 wild pitches that I thought should have been caught/blocked – just an opinion.
