I taught Adam for a few years in elementary school. What the scouting reports don’t tell you is that he is very bright academically, a disciplined student, and his family lived and breathed baseball year round, during the time I knew them. His passion and determination are very strong. I hope he goes far!

played against this guy in high school. Hes great behind the dish with good opposite field power. His power numbers would be better expect left field of his home field was a practice football field and about 400 down the line. Pretty sure he is unsignable. LMU!!!

Uhrlich has this weird C he does before his swing. I looked up his stats and they are actually pretty good. Not sure the level of competition but here ya go.

ive watched over 10 of his games and he does have a good bat he will be good behind and at the plate looking forward to watch him play

Doesn’t sound like he’s projected as an impact bat. In a year that’s really deep at C, you have to imagine a lot of the clubs looking for a serious C prospect have already got one. I wonder if he just fell because of that.

Sounds a bit like Cody Stanley, albeit a couple of years younger, which will be nice if/when he signs and gets to QC next year (with a solid short season stint in 2011). A 19 year-old who looks like he’ll stick at catcher in A-ball is probably a nicer piece than a 22-year old (although I do quite like Stanley. Bit disappointed he seems to have lost PT to Stock this year).

The difference between his hitting stroke in a couple of those vids is noticeable, although in the “bad” example it looks like he’s been fooled on a breaking ball so it’s kinda hard to tell. Looks a lot more compact in the batting cage one, though, with a less obvious loading phase (for all I know about hitting mechanics, which is pretty much nada).
