Hahaha — I’m an idiot. I thought you were asking about JC’s start date. Somehow I lost an extra week in Vegas.
Anybody else surprised Jenkins is starting at JC and not Batavia? For all the hype, I guess I figured Batavia, but he is still pretty young. At least we will start to see some stats.
I see him finishing the year in either JC or Batavia and then moving to Quad Cities to start next year at age 19. If he performs well enough to merit a promotion to Quad Cities this year, it will be a pleasant surprise.
Jenkins was extremely raw with a ton of upside and athletic ability when we drafted him. This does not surprise me at all and I hope they take it especially slow with him for the first year at least.
Not really. I’d rather him get as much instruction as possible. I’m not familiar with Dough White, their pitching coach but there is absolutely no need to rush Tyrell. Get the mechanics down, and then work on getting him tested.
