Did he end up taking batting practice with the Cardinals over the weekend? If so, is there video? I looked around on mlb.com and only found the interview in the booth during the game.
Goold posted video on the facebook page for Birdland but I cannot access it at work to get a link.

Cool. Thanks both of you.
I’ll check it out when I get home.
Nice swing overall…you could tell he was a bit excited and got a bit out infront of the 3rd pitch. Probably will need to reduce his stride a bit and his hands were a bit figidity pre swing, most of this was probably excitement. He did get the head of the bat to the ball really well, he is going to punish fastballs.
Tackle, if you join Derrick Goold’s Birdland group on FB he posted video of Kolten in BP.
Anyone know where and when he will report? I live near Jamestown and was planning on catching the Muckdogs in action this week.
Quad City and I think he reports tommorrow.
Yeah, I was looking forward to seeing him play when the Bandits played in Kane County but unfortunatly I won’t get to see them. They come in July 3rd through the 5th. I’ve got committments on the 3rd and 4th and have to work on the 5th (noon first pitch).
The way minor league starts their series makes me scratch my head. If they started the series on Friday, I’d have been there.
He’s already on Quad City roster.
I joined that group a while back, but I don’t check facebook frequently enough to catch everything.
He reported Monday and played just like the video said he would. He was 2 for 2 with a walk and a sac fly. Was caught stealing 2d. No errors.
I thought it was very interesting that Wong signed at right about what Honolulu reported. After the Honolulu report, the Cardinals gave a denial to every scribe, but yet, Honolulu was still right. Their first report of $1.5 was not far off the final $1.3 either.
Good work by them.
I think this was nothing more than formality. I think I read Goold say that the Cards don’t officially announce anything until there is a completed physical. That was the reason he was in STL.
Exciting to see Carlos Martinez heading to Palm Beach
He’s ready. Can’t wait till he gets to Springfield. Like to see him and Shelby on the same pitching staff.
Is this official?
Btw, Shelby and Carlos on the same roster most likely won’t happen until St. Louis.
We’re about 2 yrs. away from having one heck of a pitching staff in St. Louis. Could be one of the best ever.
Maybe. Hopefully.
I’m not. I went to Peoria and South Bend without seeing the kid. Now the trip to Ft Wayne won’t do it either. Glad to see that Wong at least will be there.
Jenkins with a stinker tonight – gonna have to be patient but it’s hard
JC doesn’t appear willing to lose this year.
