Kelly’s last start at Palm Beach today? Possible with the promotion of Martinez.

PB has a 6 man rotation, C-Mart is taking John Gast’s spot, who got promoted to Springfield.

Oh I see. I was just speculating because it seems like Springfield could use some of talented pitchers in the lower minors. Do you think Kelly pitches in Springfield this year? And if so, will he do better than the guys there because of his power sinker?

I hope Kelly gets promoted, because Springfield could use him, and then I hope they would bump Rosenthal to PB and let him finish the year there.

Also, he’s getting a bit old for single-A ball. I think they need to start moving him a bit more aggressively and see if the K’s follow him up into the high minors. Ideally you’d want him to be getting a cup of joe next year some time.

I read an article saying Gast got promoted a day ago instead. anyway i feel like very soon some of these guys will become “future Padres”

Why do you say that? I really hope not I don’t think the team has the luck/what is needed to wish this year and don’t want to mortage the future to have Bell on board a sinking ship. I also don’t think Gast or Kelly are big enough names to get Bell.

    • I hope not. I still remember the last shortstop we got from the Padres!!! Give me a break!!!

I would hope the Organization is done doing deals with Clevland, San Diego, and Oakland. We don’t need anymore injured players that have been doctored up or that the organization doesn’t disclose injuries about. Or head cases (K Greene).

The question is: who replaces Martinez in the QC Rotation? They could promote Daugherty, McInnis or Maness or maybe Bibona is finally ready to pitch.
