Sorry, but I have to pick you up on this: K-Mac is not better than an average starting pitcher in this or any other universe.

His ERA is 4.15 but his ERA+ (which is just ERA compared to league-average) is 87 (100 being average), ergo his ERA is 13% worse than league average. His FIP, xFIP, SIERRA and tERA (all of which are attempts to be defense-independent pitching stats) are all worse than his ERA, so he’s probably getting a bit lucky on the balls people are putting in play off him. His K rate is massively below average. His WHIP is below average. His HR rate is higher than the average pitcher, in a park that suppresses HR. About the only thing he has at an average level is his walkrate.

He’s done fine as far as 5th starters go, but he’s also one of the two easiest spots on this team to upgrade, along with Ryan Theriot (and arguably the left-hand side of the bullpen), and is pretty clearly a very mediocre starter.

K-Mac is better than an average pitcher. K-Mac is averaging more than 6 IP with a 4.15 ERA. A lot of teams would take that from their #4 starter. Not to mention K-Mac is very cheap.

Blaine Boyer up to AAA, Additon down AA, Calhoun down to high A.

Additon has really worked hard hate to see him get demoted.

Yes, CF definitely. From what I’ve read (never seen him) he’s somewhere in the ballpark of a Jacoby Ellsbury type, although I’m not sure he’ll have quite the same wheels on the basepaths and Tilson’s power is yet to develop (but could do). A left-handed Dexter Fowler isn’t a bad comp actually, either.
