Rosenthal got some extra rest, and as predicted, went into “mow down” mode for the play-offs. QC needs to win today to avoid Kane County’s #1 (Billo). If QC gets to the Championship, Rosenthal will get one more start. We will find out then if what I suspected is true – and that is he could have been doing this all year if he wasn’t committed (as the Organization wants him to be) to developing his change-up. And we won’t find out until next year if he made progress on that front. Anyway, that’s why I have him as a top 10 Organizational Prospect – I don’t think his stats tell the whole story.
Best part is that he was mixing in his curve the entire game.
I just got my report – 70-75% fastballs with the rest Curves and 1 Change – it’s the Change that when he misses with it, it’s CITGO (I got that from Joe Carter who told me that he led visitors in HR’s at Fenway and the local press joked the old CITGO sign beyond the stadium was really named for Joe, not gasoline….C….IT…..GO)
Oh, and 108 pitches
Goldstein raves about TR and OT here:

It’s a subscriber article, so I won’t quote. But to summarize, he says TR has #3 starter potential, and that even though OT was 1-4, he hit 3 balls on the screws.
Thanks very much for this!
Interesting comment from Derrick Goold today that Seth Blair ended the season suspended for undisclosed violation of organizational policy – wonder whats up with that
Wow, great start for Rosy.
QC got the sweep in an unexpected way. They were down 5-0 in the bottom of the 8th, but got 2 in the 8th and 4 in the 9th. Longmire hit a 3-run walk-off HR.

HUGE win! I tuned in for the 9th and was glad I did!
