Another interesting aspect of this series is that the Lansing team is a low level Blue Jays farm team. The Blues Jays owe the Card 3 PTBNL (or apparently money). They have a very strong farm system and their should be some players even toward the bottom of their top 30 that could turn out to be helpful. It will be interesting to scout their team to see if they have anyone that might be a good pick up that realistically could be one or more of the PTBNL.

I thought the 3 PTBNL from the Blue Jays were contingent on how many compensation picks we netted out of the players we got in the Rasmus trade. That trade was convoluted.

As far as I know, that was never confirmed. It was just internet speculation that such a contingency could be in the deal. Indeed, I believe Goold indicated in a tweet/report after the trade was consummated that he understood that such a contingency was NOT a part of the deal.

I bet we take the money.

Anyway…..Great game……….Lansing led 2-0 through 7. River Bandits scored 1 in the 7th. Taveras hit a 2 run bomb in the 8th to give the Bandits the lead. Bandits barely hung on in the 9th after a single and a double but then Longmire tracked down a long fly ball to the tract in CF for the 3rd out.

Listened to it. If it was on Milb.tv I’ll go back and watch it.

      I don’t think it’s on milb.com.

Nevertheless, i’ve had zero luck with milb.com’s media player. All I’ve ever gotten the times I’ve tried it is audio with a still picture.

I will be at Saturday’s game. I’m hoping it can be the Series winner……
