congrats River Bandits! a deserving finish to a great year for them..i’m sure several of the players will move on to palm beach and springfield so won’t be quite as good next year but what a team this year
Grats QC! Always nice to see our minor league teams playing in playoff baseball to see who steps up.
Great season by Wong.
Kind of makes you forget how many on here criticized the pick.
I was always in favor of the Wong pick, but when there were high upside prep arms available such as Taylor Guerreiri I was immediately disappointed.. However my opinion has since changed and I cannot wait to see what Kolten becomes! Congrats on the great season QC!!
Though I wasn’t one who criticized the pick, I’m assuming even the people who did criticize it fully expected him to succeed and even excel in low A. The question was always whether he’d have enough upside in the majors.
But that is the point.
High up side is nice, but the odds of actually making the majors as a high school player is really low.
So even with a “limited up side”, he actually still has a better chance of making the majors than a HS pick.
lots of guys play many years and never win anything
enjoy
Great season by an exciting team – it will interesting to see where the primary guys end next season
