This is a long time in coming and Jeff is the one who deserves the credit. I’ve been lax in keeping the facebook page up but Jeff was kind enough to create the new “page” version for Future Redbirds. You can find the page here with the RSS feed already tied up.

My favorite part of the group and one that I’d encourage everyone to use is the photo feature. The River Bandits will take on the Clinton LumberKings who finished 2.5 games back of them in the standings. The LumberKings, a Mariners affiliate, will be the home team for game one and games two and three, if necessary, will be played at Modern Woodman Park in the Quad Cities.

The River Bandits went 10-5 against the LumberKings including a late season sweep during August 31st – September 2nd.  Expect to see Taijuan Walker, one of the top teenage arms in the minors, get a start during the series against the River Bandits.
