Peoria 7, Phoenix 6

• Matt Adams went 2-for-5 with a double and a HR.
• Ryan Jackson was 3-for-5 with a double.
• David Kopp pitched an inning allowing 2 hits and a run.

Peoria 1, Surprise 7

• Oscar Taveras was 0-for-3.
• Keith Butler pitched a scoreless frame. He struck out 1, walked 1 and allowed a hit lowering his ERA from 54.00 to 21.60.
• Justin Wright struggled allowing 2 runs while retiring just 1 batter. He walked three and allowed a homerun before being pulled.

Peoria 5, Surprise 6

• Matt Adams was 0-for-4.

Peoria 4, Phoenix 10

• Ryan Jackson was 1-for-4.
• Matt Adams was 0-for-4.
• Oscar Taveras was 1-for-4.
• Tyler Lyons started and pitched 3 innings. He allowed 3 hits and 1 run while walking 1. He, impressively, struck out 5 including a 1-2-3 punchout in the 1st inning.
• Not a good outing for David Kopp who walked 2 and allowed 3 hits for 3 runs.

Peoria 13, Salt River 7

• Matt Adams was 1-for-5.
• Ryan Jackson was 2-for-4 with a walk.
• Lefty Justin Wright saw an inning of work. He struck out 1 and allowed a hit.

The first day of the Arizona Fall League was yesterday. The Cardinals players are part of the Peoria Javelinas team this season. Unfortunately they took a loss on their first game.

Peoria 9, Salt River 12

• Ryan Jackson was 1-for-1.
• Matt Adams was 3-for-5 with a double.
• Oscar Taveras was 1-for-5.
• Keith Butler was the only pitcher to see action and he didn’t fair well. He only retired two batters while walking 4 all of whom came around to score. Butler too the loss and ended the day with a 54.00 ERA. I would guess that gets better as the season goes on.
