It takes a village? That explains it.......

What you say is an excuse, isn't an excuse - it's an expansion on reality. If you want to look at a stat line and think that paints the picture fine. I don't. If an umpire has a small strikezone, that has an effect. All hits are not created equal, etc., etc., etc. There are good stat lines that aren't that good, and there are bad stat lines that aren't that bad. The fact that these expansions only occur with the top prospects is because those are the ones that have the greatest opportunity to impact our MLB Club and where the majority of the interest is. Andrew does us all a favor by providing in depth breakdowns - if you don't like his observations or opinions, don't read his posts.

Quoting Hillary Clinton certainly does not make one attractive. LOL. What you are doing is fine. But guys like Andrew and I have our eyes on the big prize, and that should be fine also. This is a great time to be a Cardinal fan and our system is overflowing with great prospects. Let's enjoy this and be thankful we are not Royals fans!

I follow everyone I just don't see the point in doing what your doing implying that the teams are worse because Luhnow is gone. The whole system are guys Luhnow drafted. THe appropriate guys are being challenged thus weakening the teams they could have been on. At our highest level we have a few guys who are hurt and some prospects struggling. At AA we have some doing well and 2 guys who were the most productive High A players last year not making the transitiation well and struggling badly.

I think is Rosario and Scruggs stepped it up at Springfield and if Cox and Anderson stepped it up at Memphis both teams would have a much better record.

Good for the not so much top prospects Greenwood, Reifer and Sanchez for saving the Memphis game (and Craig).

I root for everyone as it takes a whole village to raise a child! If a player doesn't have a good night, he doesn't have a good night, but there's always excuses. These guys are in learning mode and they ARE going to struggle.

If you come here just to get reports of 2 guys for the night than that doesn't say much for the system does it?

Pitch and Hit: I mean no disrespect BUT........most of us come to this site to follow the TOP PROSPECTS because we are St. Louis Cardinal fans. Although I want to see all do well, I did not open this site to see what pitching line Blazek put up. I wanted to see what Shelby and Carlos did(along with others). If you are concerned with what the teams outcomes are....that is fantastic. But I think it is fine if Andrew and the rest of us root hardest for our top tier prospects that can be difference makers for the big club.

Good point. That's definately not true. They would be much worse if the QC 3 didn't make the jump. I guess the point I'm making is this guy is ridicoulous. He's whining because the system is losing games. They are losing games in certain places because of aggressive promotions by some. They are losing games at the AAA level beacause many of the starters are hurt also. They are losing games in the Texas League because the quality of relievers is subpar.

It just seems like he wants to (female dog) and it got on my nerves. Talking about some slow steady decline of the system is a joke with allof the developmental successes we are seeing.

You seem to think that all the teams would be great if Vuch had never taken over.

At least that's what I think yoru implying because yoru talking about a gradual decline and obviously have an ax to grind. How would Luhnow have done things different?

I'm saying all 4 teams could be doing much better if they didn't try to agressively promote the QC 3. That instantly makes Palm Beach a good team.

Springfield hasn't been bad but the relief core pretty much stinks. What can you do about that? Luhnow can't fix that because most of the relief guys at Springfield are guys he drafted.

And Memphis could be better if it had the players it expected to have. It doesn't and the great arms in the bullpen started off the year horrible.

You just seem to be whining about how the organization is doing things now without mentioning how we would have done it different in the past?

It wasn't good but it wasn't someone getting rocked either. Sometimes when people look at a line and see 4runs in 5 innings they think the person got bombed. This wasn't the case. Without the umps blown call those first 2 runs dont score. The HR still happens though and the run in the 5th probably happens. So it ends up being 5 innings 2 runs 4 walks and 4 k's.

The worst part of the performance is how many times he went 0-2 and couldn't put the batter away. He definately didn't have his best stuff.
