Palm Beach and Quad Cities both fell victim to the weather as their games were rained out.  The other two teams that did play sent top prospects to the mound and both delivered.  Matt Adams provided all the offense the Memphis would need to get Shelby Miller the win.  Trevor Rosenthal allowed only one hit in six innings as he helped Springfield to a victory.

Good to see Miller is improving that command. Was the velocity up tonight?

Nah about 93. Which is where he will he as a starter. Despite not being the hardest thrower in the world he gets a ton of swinsg and misses with movement and pitch location.

Then he really is living up to the Matt Cain comp.

His fastball in the low-mid 90s is still a 75 pitch on the 20-80 scale. He appears like he can do a couple different things with it, when he pumps it up there he gets an insane amount of arm-side run and it looks like they have worked with him on staying on top of it and getting a heavier harder plane pitch.
