Though I would add that, because both Walsh’s plate discipline AND power are off-the-charts this year, he’s already achieved the “interesting prospect” label for me.

I harbor no illusions about Colin ever being a 3-WAR major league starter, but with some patience, pop, and defensive versatility, he might be a *well* above average MLB bench piece down the line….

It’s getting a little hard to fathom what *baseball* reason is keeping him at Quad Cities, as there’s no one blocking him from promotion to Palm Beach (save possibly Starlin R. at the keystone).

He’s actually only slightly older than average for the league, but as was pointed out in previous discussions of him, he’s old for a “prospect.” He’s blasting low-A pitching in his third try; okay, got that. But he should blast low-A pitching in his third try. It’s time for him to move up. If he does the same at high A (after applying park/league adjustments since the FSL is a miserable place for a hitter), then maybe he gets interesting; he’d be age-appropriate there.
