Well, I think I should get all the credit for Taveras’ 5 for 5 tonight. After all, could he have had a night like tonight if I hadn’t questioned his power and complained about his production the past few days? I think not.

non-issue? If it was a non-issue he’d be going in the top 5 no doubt. Of course it is an issue. yes, TJ has a 70%-80% success rate these days but one cannot discount that 20%-30% chance. (I know, he hasn’t had the surgery…yet)

No on Giolito. . .way too much risk that high in the draft. Wouldn’t even take a flyer on him in the supplemental round because of his bonus demands. Hoping to see prep hitters with three of our first five picks. . .any combination of Russell, Seager, Trahan, C. Kelly, or Gallo works for me.

Trahan + Russell would require a stack of towels I think.

I wouldn’t take Giolito, I don’t think. Possibility of shoulder issues is scary.
