I like the fact he is only 20 y.o. Can start him out in the GCL if necessary to get up to speed with higher level competition. There aren’t many players who you can say that if they put up 70% of their college numbers they’ll be an All-Star.
For those that are curious, this is a Junior College. Looks like Caldwell is a freshman so he has lots of options.
Wonder if there is any word of him transfering to a major college or what?

There’s a draft report on Caldwell in Baseball America’s top 500 prospects. I believe he’s no. 498! They like his bat better than his glove. He’s listed as a second baseman, not as a shortstop, and thought not like to stick defensively even at second. They project him as a utility man.
