Was also on a pitch count as well though he did run out of gas in the 5th. Andrew reported “that he doesn’t have as much off violence in his delivery and his stride is straight now and he hides the ball better.”

Got to watch Carlos Martinez pitch in the 100 degree heat.
Looked really really good. Easy velocity sat 94-97 through his 5 innings, was attacking the strike zone till about the 4th and 5 th inning when he started getting some deep counts against hitters. Got a good amount of groundballs. Stamina got zapped by the triple digit heat.
Came away extremely impressed

Sure is nice to see Jeffries playing I would like to see more of that power potential that he owns as a tool. But a .545 BABIP is good in 22 PA.
